Apologies, due to work commitments and laziness, I now return about stories of police violence, cruel sackings and more Arsenal defeats!
Was there an over-reaction about the crowd violence in Rome and Seville? I think there was, and here's why...
The only reason why violence happened is down to one thing:
Alcohol
Let's take the Spurs/Seville game as an example. Basically, Spurs fans turn up pretty pissed up - they are allowed through the turnstyles drunk. They score early, are therefore joyous, and then get a terrible penalty decision against them in front of them.
Anger is created, and when it is scored by ex Spurs player Kanoute, the Seville fans rile us up no-end. Booze escalates this and things get a bit hairy between both supporters - but the police TOTALLY overreacted and got the weapons out and hit anything English that breathed. Fucking pathetic. I'll think twice about seeing my team abroad.
That said, I am now so nervous about tonight's game - possibly the most important home game I've ever been too. We need to be at least 3 goals up to have a chance as we can't defend!
Anyway, I also enjoyed the US Masters golf - how good was it seeing professional golfers being made to look crap by a ridiculously difficult golf course who made their greens like concrete!!
Oh and yes the cricket world cup is still going, but who cares? England are rubbish, the Aussies are million times better than anyone and it's all SOOOOOO boring.

The Aussies are better? You said it... but completely agree, it's no fun for either side when it's smooth running all the way.
As for golf, can't hack it on TV - where's the fun? Love a good smack about on the greens though. Comes from days spent collecting the balls my dad and uncle smashed out into the paddocks. We drove around on our motorbikes, picking them up and washing the cow shit off them. Didn't even get paid. Child slave labour I say.
I had a pro lesson with peter Lester last year in Portugal... it wasn't til then I really appreciated the game - and considered digging out the custom mini clubs Dad had made for me as a kid. haven't grown much... bet they still 'fit'.
Golf site http://www.golfmagic.com is worth checking out. Can you believe, I used to work on a SPECIALTY SPORTS website. Nope, thought not.
You going to Camden crawl??
