Complacency

So Spurs are through to the 1/4 finals of the UEFA Cup after very nearly cocking it up. I thought Braga were dreadful in both legs, but Spurs seemed to be so lethargic, knowing they just need to turn up to win that we nearly got caught out. We can't defend at all at the moment, which is worrying considering we have Chelsea on Monday to play a game that shouldn't be played.

If Lennon scores his chance to make it 4-1, we'd have been through. But I think 90% of Spurs fans knew that even at 3-1 with 20 mins to go that we wouldn't hold on. Jol taking Berbatov and Lennon off too just gave Chelsea a license to attack and it was a disastrous move. A move that will probably end our FA Cup ambitions.

I cannot believe this nonsense from the Football League about having penalties to decide league games. ARE THEY INSANE??!!! That would just kill football and good for Neil Warnock, Peter Risdale and Gary Johnson coming out saying it's a ludicrous idea. What cretins work for the Football League? Madness.

At least the Cricket world cup is under way, good to see Pakistan getting mullered in the opening game, but lets face it - I think the Aussies will walk away with it again. No other team in the tournement has consistency like the Aussies. England have a chance, but then so does South Africa, India, West Indies and New Zealand. It's Australia to win it, and then it's a raffle to see who plays them in the final.

Still, at least I'm kept busy until May every evening!

Agreed on the football league, but Mawhinney has always been a little bit challenged in the sanity department, must have been working with Thatcher. Good strike from Berbatov but.

Hi Rob, I've seen a stack of press about the violence at recent matches... including Spurs. The images on the news showing officials belting the living crap out of supporters was awful... on the way to Leicester on Friday I saw about 30 young guys pulled off a train where they were searched by an equal number of police with dogs. I'm interested to know... what's your take on it all? Are the fans out of control? Are the officials? Do you ever feel unsafe when you go to matches? I'm keen to hear what others think too...
