Whitewash

Unbelievable, so the ordeal is over. All those idiots, ala Alec Stewart, et all who all before the series thought England were going to retain the ashes have been made to look like fools. Is it obvious from when the squad was picked that we would lose, but even I didn't think we would be whitewashed, and completely and utterly thrashed.
So why were we so bad? Lets face it, the Aussies were ruthless and superb. However we showed little fight and didn't look like we wanted to be there at all! Still they pick up their match fees and £x thousands for performing like utter pricks. That fact in itself is a disgrace. They shouldn't be paid a penny for their constantly crap and sloppy performances.
My ratings:
Strauss 4 - got to 20 and 30 and then got himself out everytime.
Cook 5 - same as Strauss bar a century in Perth, but got out then at the wrong time
Bell 6 - fairly dependable with 4 50's but got out each time when well set
Pietersen 8 - without doubt our only player to come out of this debacle with credit
Collingwood 6 - 2 innings do not make a series, barely made a run after his 96 and 206
Flintoff 4 - shouldn't of been captain, unfit to bowl properly and rubbish with the bat
G Jones 1 - his usual average keeping and woeful batting suprised no-one, yet he was picked
Read 5 - did well behind the stumps but looks only county quality with the bat
Giles 3 - shouldn't be near the squad, did his job with the bat, embarrased himself with the ball
Mahmood 3 - didn't really get a chance to be fair to bowl long spells questioning his selection
Hoggard 6 - our best bowler but after one great test in Adelaide was average
Harmison 2 - no-one should get credit for saying he's back in form cause he can bowl straight
Panesar 6 - did well in Perth but got murdered in other times he was allowed to bowl
Anderson 2 - never looked like a test bowler or taking a wicket
So overall - an unmitigated disaster. A bunch of lazy twats who treated this tour like a holiday, and a coach who made millions of mistakes and refused to admit them, get walloped and humiliated. Just what they deserved.
